The idea of these are fantastic. But the sizing is substantially different than the other Duluthflex or Firehose canvas products. Much smaller, same story with the Duluthflex overalls in the new gray color, the sizing is quite a bit smaller than the original colors or product line and that is a problem.
Men's DuluthFlex Fire Hose HD Lined Bib Overalls
Going above and beyond is standard operating procedure for you – and it should be for your work bibs, too. So we’ve built DuluthFlex® Fire Hose® HD Lined Bib Overalls to manhandle whatever the job or the weather throws at you. They’re constructed of a high-tech wonder fabric that withstands abrasion 4x better than your tried-and-true cotton canvas work pants. Even better, it has more than double the tensile strength and rip resistance of highly durable original DuluthFlex Fire Hose fabric. Yet for all its ruggedness, DuluthFlex Fire Hose HD is remarkably wearable thanks to its 10-oz. weight and built-in stretch. To fend off cold, we’ve built in a soft grid fleece lining that holds in heat without adding bulk. A moisture-shedding DWR fabric finish lets mist roll right off. Knee pad pockets accept knee pads. The roomier Crouch Gusset® adds comfort in places where other pants pinch. Last, but far from least, they’re triple-stiched and outfitted with 11 practical pockets, including a handwarmer pouch behind the chest multi-pocket. They’re work overalls engineered for overachievers like you.
On the day they were delivered, the temp had dropped into the 30's and it started to flurry. I was cold and ready to quit working in the barn. I saw the package on the porch, and thought it would be a good time to test them out. I was pleasantly surprised at the lining being as soft and warm as it was, really knocked the cold out immediately. I normally wear a 36 x32 but ordered a 38 so I could wear them over sweats or pants. But, as warm as they are I probably won't have to use much underneath them. I absolutely love the pocket underneath the chest pocket. It is lined and is open from side to side. I sat down in my chair yesterday and clasp my hand together in the lined pocket (natural position for my hands during a nap) waking up an hour later totally recharged. Love these bibs for cooler weather.
I went into these expecting the worst. I was wrong. I wore them all day at my desk job to make sure they would work on Lake of the Woods ice. Not only did they pass, but I haven't taken them off. We do have to shovel in Wisco.
Best Overalls I have ever bought for winter wear. Would definitely buy them again.
My bib keeps me warm and it fits perfectly
