I love the foremen pants mostly because of the pocket on the right leg that fits my cell phone. I probably have 12 pairs of them in various colors that allow me to wear them to work and to social functions. I love the slim fit as it is not as baggy on me. The only thing I noticed recently is the back right pocket appears to become a bit smaller. My wallet is full and recently I have notice it fallen out of that pocket. This does not happen to the other pants that I have purchased.
Love Duluth clothes - they fit really well and last. Great quality and the store people are fantastic!
I ordered two pairs a few years ago and fell in love. The overall quality was great. Durability/thickness of the fabric with the flexibility was noticed immediately. Robust stitching of the seams, thicker pocket fabric. The pants felt built to last. The tapered leg was stylish and not overly tight. Nice enough to go from the shop to a meeting. I am not sure what has changed since then. The quality of fabric has declined, it's incredibly thin. With the current cold snap; the wind cuts straight through where the older pairs held up. Being inside a shop it's still noticeably colder with the new pair where I'm having to wear thermals underneath. The waist runs way bigger than previous and the tapered leg is nonexistent. These may as well be relaxed or boot cut pants. I've also noticed the manufacturing country has changed from Bangladesh to Vietnam. Not sure that may have anything to do with the drop in quality. Also no indication that these are the slim cut. Overall these feel clunky, way too big, and overall cheap for the price point. Even the pocket material feels cheaper and more rough. When my original purchase was made I swore by these pants up and down, suggested these to people and so on. Several of my coworkers bought from Duluth and noted the overall quality as well. I don't think I will be coming back any time soon. I am very disappointed in such a fast decline in quality.
These are not slim fit. In fact, I've purchased 2 of the "Brier" Firehose pants that as "standard fit" and they fit a little tighter. I liked the zipper pocket on these pants, and wanted to like them, but they are not slim fit, period! Many other reviewers attest this to be the case too.
