We love the quality of our Duluth Products. We have been exclusively using DuluthFlex Fire Hose pants for our field staff and they last longer than Carharrt or Dickeys. The colors don't fade, the seams stay strong, and they put up with a lot of abuse and keep us safer while working. We have run into inventory issues many times when ordering, but recently found out that our go-to pants (45704) are no longer available in Navy. After spending thousands of dollars on uniforms for our team, we are now forced to make a change. Uniformity in our image is important to our company, but now it will cost us around $6000 to make a change in either style or color, without knowing if they will be discontinued the following month or even if enough will be available in the right sizes to outfit our crew. As a small business in a tough economy, this will force us to re-evaluate partnering with Duluth.

GREAT
I have bought Duluth for probably the past 8 or 9 years. I am not exactly sure which year I started because for some reasons Duluth does not keep my past order history unlike other websites. Unfortunately their pants are not made of the same material despite them being called Fire Hose and each time I buy them they get worse. The last 2 Ultimate Fire Hose Cargo pants both ripped in the crotch after a year or two. This latest one is though is worse because the bottom of the pants have also started to come undone which is an issue I have never had on any of the other Duluth pants I had bought. I don't even wash these often to say they are being worn down from the washing. I actually still have my original Fire Hose pants from 8-9 years ago and it never got a hole in the crotch and still holds up. It just doesn't have as many pockets as the ones I buy now and is covered in oil stains so I can't wear it outside of work. I think Duluth got too popular or was bought out and realized their old pants were too good so they made the quality much worse so you would have to keep buying them every couple of years and increase their sales. I would only get these if they are on a big discount since I know I will need to buy another one sooner than I would like.

On the side pockets they are to much in front of the pants. Any time you kneel down what's ever in your pocket digs into your knees. Wish the where about a 1/2 towards the back more. If they were I would buy more.
The original Ultimate Cargo Pants were great! 11.5 oz cotton canvas and with updates like the nylon knee pad pouches; they lasted a long time. Then came the 8 oz Duluthflex. They fit fine and were lighter, but they wore out quickly, so I bought up all the originals that I could find; even in the wrong size and had them altered to fit. I wrote and called many times to Duluth requesting they bring back the originals; no response. Duluthflex are great for the people telling you how to work but not so much for the ones that have to do the work. I was excited to learn that the 10.2 oz Duluthflex HD was being introduced! Except it is not offered in the Ultimate design (with knee pockets) where it should be for those of us who need the extra protection when doing hard work. Looks like you had a lot of labor in this material Duluth; but no baby!
