I have found the Fire hose vest to be sturdy, yet comfortable. I expected the material to be heavier, more like duck denim, but was happy to find that the material is more standard denim-like. This gives the vest more flexibility when working. The pockets are definitely a plus. This vest is not lined, but the Fire Hose material is dense enough to provide some insulation and wind blockage. I ordered a 2xl tall, and the tall aspect was right for me, but the 2xl is bigger than I expected. I've had this vest on over t-shirt and 2 sweatshirts and it was still a little loose. I'm a bigger size (6 foot and 260 pounds) so I expected the 2xl to be a closer fit when worn over outdoor working clothes. Overall, I'm happy with my Fire Hose working man's vest
There are pockets for all your needs without having to wear a jacket!
Thought the vest would be thicker. Would not have purchased if I had known how thin it was.
Gave this to my soon for his birthday--he loves it! said only problem was there was not enough gold in the pockets!
