As others have pointed out, it is a little less stout than the Model-A generation and this is no less than my third go 'round w/ the product, but I'm getting my CDL and need another reliable vest w/ lots of ink pen slots. Specifically though, the interior shammy pocket for your handheld device will be missed, only to be replaced by one without, that will most certainly drop your phone whenever you lean over too far reaching for your release handle—perfectly fine while driving, of coarse. Secondly, the addition of an extra, but shallow, low front pocket must serve some functional purpose; probably just designated for fuel receipts. Finally, as I mentioned, the extra pen slots do return but now swapped to the left side chest position where your seatbelt won't constantly snatch pens out of their sleeves. Even if it is not quite as burly nor warm as the Mk. 01, it is perfectly suitable for life in and out of the cab, behind the wheel or strapping down loads on a flatbed—if not as much for serious physical labor, anymore.

Size
You know how coats have a larger zipper than your jeans, for easier starts? Well, this is like your jeans. YOU have to start this zipper, but it is the size of a zipper in your Levi'sr, that is already started. It's too small in size, both the handle on the zipper and the starting metal. WRT vest size, I bought Large. I'm fat. 40 inch waist and 38-40 inch waist. I can wear this over a hoodie.
I bought this to work in a cold garage. Got the black color for winter. It was semi-lined, not just a thin outer shell, to my surprise. Has pockets for various marking tools, etc, and a good size pocket for a measuring tool. Also, nice hand pockets. Felt comfortable on and has a slight tail cover. Sale price was right too. Bot a large (I'm 5'9", 190 lbs.) if that helps.
Way thinner gauge fabric then the last generation. Good pocket layout and design. I like the interior fleece layer. I don't like how thin and gentle the outer layer of fabric is. This will work fine for the casual hobbyist or DIY project. This probably won't cut it for a metal worker or framer. I bought 2 more on sale thinking I'd give one away to a contractor buddy. Barely worth it. Kind of hesitant to give this as a gift. I would hate for someone to get their initial impressions on the Duluth brand from this vest.
Loved the product. Durable and warm with room to move. Customer service is attentive not over baring. Very friendly team.
