I absolutely live in the ones I have, and I believe you've made the perfect overalls. My only complaint is there isn't more colors!

These used to be great coveralls. About the only thing they have going for them now is the pockets and the firehose. Arguably, Carharts canvas wears well also. I'm climbing in and out of equipment all day making repairs and inspecting. I have almost exclusively used the DT firehose overalls. Mainly for the pockets since I'm carrying notepad, paint marker, pens, sharpie, tape measure, camera, wallet, keys, knife, gap gage, gloves, etc. When you carry 10 lbs of stuff in your pockets you rely on the shoulder straps to hold the weight. With my last pair, the elastic rotted and I had to tie knots in the straps to take up slack. It's super comfortable to have knots pressing into your shoulders while climbing through an access scuttle. Next they changed the shoulder strap clasps from these beefy little cast ones to these cheesy wire ones. If they get hung up on something when you're climbing through a hole or coming down off a ladder, they get bent. It's ridiculous. Why change what works unless it's the age old reason of increasing your margins. Charge more for the item (the firehose coveralls cost more than they ever have). Pay less to have it made. I'm bummed that Duluth has decided to put quality second. I still need the pockets. I will continue to buy them until I find a better alternative. My brand loyalty has suffered, because I no longer see them as a company that truly wants to make bulletproof work wear. I see them as a company that wants APPEAR to do that. It's unfortunate. I gave them 3 stars because they are not terrible. They just aren't any better than other popular brands.

There are a lot of pockets and organize my tools. They are comfortable and I've been happy wearing them in and out of the semi when temps drop down to -10 degrees with just a light base layer. (And, a warm truck to climb back after dropping or hooking a trailer.) I've stayed dry lying down in the snow while freeing stuck brakes. Best bibs I've ever worn!
These are the best-lined overalls that I have ever worn, however, these are the only lined overalls that I have ever worn! :`) And I absolutely love them!! I wish that they would come in more colors. I have to get my wife a pair as well.
I order enough that I can cut off the legs and make short overalls for summer. I have the same complaint as others about the elastic straps. These do last a couple of years and like I mentioned they are the only ones with cargo pockets. Wish they had more colors. People think I just wear the same one everyday.
