The undies are soft and delightful… but my normal size, which fits perfectly in the chill fabric shorties, was Quite Large in the woolverino. I exchanged for a size down (but kept one of each color, just in case!)
Women's Wickerino Wool Modern Briefs
Have you any wool? In your underwear drawer, that is. If you haven’t tried the supremely soft, naturally wicking and thermoregulating comfort of merino undies, you don’t know what you’re missing! Wickerino Wool Modern Briefs are crafted from a sumptuous blend of premium fibers that’s cozy, resilient and feels smooth against skin. A wider-than-most brushed elastic waistband won’t cut in, while flat-set stitching keeps a low profile under clothing. They’re our most premium line of unders on offer – and once you’ve tried them for yourself, you’ll understand why.
Size
I have no way to review the comfort of these. They are a full four inches longer in the waistband than the same size in my other DTC unders from the same order. They'd be too big if I wore them over top of my clothes!

As other reviewers point out, it runs one size larger. It's very comfortable, and I don't find it ugly at all. I thought it was 100% wool, but it's 50% polyester--my fault for not reading carefully.
I love modern wool underwear, and these are functionally great, but really ugly. They look sorta like y-fronts, but sorta not. And I'm not crazy about the brand name in big letters on the waistband. Functionally, they do all that wool should do--tame odor, wick moisture, be soft on the skin. These should look nicer for the price.
I purchased this in the same size that I purchase for all of my Duluth clothing, including the cotton underwear. But when I put them on, they were absolutely enormous. They go all the way up beyond my belly button. I'm not sure if this is what they mean by "modern fit," but I was very disappointed. I will be returning my unopened pair. However, I will say that they are comfortable and soft. The wool is not scratchy at all. I also really like the color choices.
