This jacket would be so nice if not for the velcro. The pocket velcro is WAY too strong making it difficult and annoying to open and retrieve things from. Meanwhile the rubber velcro strap on the sleeve is not strong ENOUGH and always comes undone and gets caught on things. It's like they messed up and put them in the opposite spots of where they should be. Otherwise, the jacket is really warm without being super bulky. The shell is very stiff, but rightfully so as it's highly wind & waterproof.

For starters the zipper is plastic which normally isn't a bad thing but it's a split zipper that does not line up good. It makes it very hard to zip up the coat without fighting with it. I purchased the green color as well a while ago and the zipper is fine. Maybe it's just the black jackets.
I adore this coat. It has kept me warm in bitter cold temps and is very functional. I get lots of compliments wearing it. It is wonderful… except for one detail. The wrist Velcro is this rubber material that does not stay stuck at all. You barely bump it and it will come I done. Then it just looks silly. Wish they wouldn't have used it.
Received for Christmas this year and I love it. So many pockets and covers your hips to keep you warm. It's a little bulky but I love to layer in the winter.
I think I'll love it when it gets colder as I always order up a size on things like this because I layer up so tyvm
