Overall, I like this robe. BUT, I have purchase countless Duluth items over the past few years, and while some had room for small improvement, I have loved all of them. The 2-way zipper on this does not work properly. It usually takes me 4-5 tries to get it to work, and is incredibly frustrating. Also, the color began to fade slightly after only a few washes. As an aside, it is not as thick as the description seems to imply, although it doesn't bother me,
Women's Souped-Up Hooded Robe
You’ll never settle for flimsy fleece once you’ve cozied up to the substantial, sweatshirt-y goodness of our Souped-Up® Hooded Robe. The cotton/poly fabric is sink-into soft and durable – just the thing to snuggle into on chilly mornings. A 3-piece hood cinches close to your noggin, while ribbed sleeve cuffs seal out drafts. Plus, two front pockets keep tissues and other essentials close at hand. Seriously. Fully loaded with feel-good features, it’s the first thing you’ll reach for when temps start to dip.
Size
I'm so obsessed with this robe. More functional than a traditional robe and cuter imo. It is cozy and warm (not too warm). It's easy to zip down for breastfeeding. Please make it in more colors!!! I would buy a black one in a second. I recommend ordering a size up for a looser fit (my preference).
This robe is thick and cozy, with perfectly sized pockets and a nice hood. It's very well made and feels great! Love, love, love it!
The item description of "sinks into" is a bit of a stretch. The fabric is a lightweight sweatshirt material that leaves me wanting of sinking into. The robe is comfortable but meh for the money.
I LOVE this robe. I bought last year's non-hooded version and was meh about it for two reasons—the corners of the collar at the top of the zipper stuck up and poked my neck, and I didn't like the side zip pockets. This version fixes both those issues. With the hood and thus the elimination of the stand-up collar, the top of this robe rests much more comfortably whether I zip it up or not, and I find the front patch pockets convenient and easy to access for phone/chapstick/etc. I find it warm and cozy but not too warm. Sleeves/cuffs are perfect. Zipper can sometimes be a little fussy to start, last years is the same way. I am 5'3", about 165 lbs, and I bought an XL in the elderberry. Fits great, feels soft, and so far no pilling even after a few washings. I liked that one so much I bought an XXL in the oatmeal, only because hoodies really can't be too oversized to suit me, and that one is also perfectly wearable without having been washed yet. I usually buy a L in Duluth t shirts, an XL in their flannels, and an M in their pants. I fervently hope they reissue this exact robe in new colors next year.
