I already owned a grey version of this sweater that I purchased at the Colorado Springs retail store. I liked it so well that I ordered this blue one when it popped up in an email ad. Great quality for the price, durable, and maintains its size through multiple washings. I would recommend that you wash it cold.
Men's Strongarm Crew Sweater
Teddy Roosevelt said, “Speak softly, but carry a big stick.” We’ve applied the same powerful principle to our Strongarm Crew. The 88% cotton/12% nylon knit is soft and comfortable. But this sweater's got the steely determination to hold it together in the face of adversity – no slouching shoulders or sagging elbows, no stretched-out cuffs or hem. Just full-on comfort so you can do what needs to be done. Reach Gussets® give you the maneuvering room to strongarm the negotiations or make that handshake deal.
- 88% cotton/12% nylon knit feels soft and mellow, yet has the strength to grapple with whatever the day brings
- Reach Gussets® – only from Duluth – so you can get your arms around the next challenge
- Rib-knit collar, cuffs and hem stay put, stay in shape
- Relaxed Fit
- Imported
Size
I recently purchased three lambswool sweater from Duluth. They were all Size XL and fit just fine. This sweater is labeled an XL but is at least one size smaller than the others. .Your listing says the purchasers said it was true to size. I suppose maybe some thought the other sweaters were extremely large. Somehow I doubt that is the case.
I purchased this same sweater 2 years ago and love it so I decited to get another one. Boy have things at Duluth changed, the weight and feel of the two sweaters are totally different. If both sweaters had not of came from the same place you would think the newer one came from a big box retaler, not Duluth. The new one is OK at the sale price but nothing great at any price. It fits well and is comfortable but is more suited for early fall and late spring, it's to thin to provide very much warmth.
I have two Strongarm Crew Sweaters that I just purchased last year and love. Ordered one online this year in a different color and when it finally arrived I knew immediately that it would be returned. It is almost an entirely different product. Smaller, thinner, and overall nowhere near the quality of what I bought just last year. Unfortunately, it seems it is time to add Duluth to the list of companies that puts profit over quality as this is a cheaper, subpar product compared to the last iteration.
Been buying these sweaters for years, were always my favorite. Just bought a replacement for a worn out one and my usual M size was way too small. Exchanged for a L which is workable but still slimmer than the old version. Guess I'll have to find a new favorite.
