Work Out. Way, Way Out.
If you want to see all nature has to offer, it’s going to take working up a sweat to get you there. Naturally then, Outer Limit™ shorts were made for training up as well as trekking out. Lightweight, free-moving and sweat-wicking, they’re comfortable for most anything that demands a higher heart rate. Reflective hits on all sides keep you seen when jogging country roads. Two zip pockets keep keys in place and the elastic bands at the back let you tuck a windbreaker or layer within easy reach. Versatile as the shorts are, they’re great for training for your next big trek or fitting a workout into an already-busy schedule. But make some time to get out there – because the views are so much better when you exercise outside the box.

Not for those with chafing thighs

I typically wear a medium/12 in Duluth and bought my usual size. I don't feel I have to constantly pull them up but they aren't super snug to me either. I absolutely love the big zippered pockets and the security of that for my phone when walking my dogs with or without the possibility of getting wet! I don't even mind the shirt stowing elastic in the back. My biggest complaint is both the liner and the nylon fabric ride up my thighs constantly allowing chafing to begin; I expect the liner to stay down and prevent this! If the legs didn't ride up, these would get 5 stars.

New favorite pair of shorts!

Love these shorts so much! I am 5'6 and 120lbs, size XS fits perfect. Not too tight and not too baggy in all the right places. I have two of these and on my way to get my third pair this summer. Thank you Alaskan Hardgear!

almost perfect

I'm 5'5" with 38"hips and 31" waist. I usually wear med/large for pants, but these run huge. I tried on the Small and Medium and small was a tad too small but medium was a tad too big. I ended up buying the small size and I've worn them multiple times now. Overall they are great for walking and hiking, but any other exercise and they start to ride up and I have to pull the liner down. The pockets are really great, but I tried using the band in the back and it just seemed silly. I love the colors, but I'm always looking for light colors for summer and I don't understand why the black color for outdoor clothing.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

Nice shorts

These shorts are comfortable. The liner in them is soft. The only issue I had with them is the liner does tend to ride up some, not a big enough deal for me to return though.

Comfy, lightweight, but large!

The fabric is light, soft, and stretchy, the lining is comfortable, and the blue color is a bright, pretty shade. They were a little bit big for me, but there is a drawstring which helps, although they did feel pretty floppy and if there was anything heavy in the pockets (phone) they tended to slide down. If I had gotten the next size down they would probably be fine (I received a S, and usually am somewhere between S and XS). The two side pockets are a useful size with zippers for security, and the zippers are light enough so they are hardly noticeable. However, the elastic straps on the back, supposed to be to tuck a towel/sweater through, seem a little odd and might get caught on things.
