After buying Duluth gardening overalls and falling in love with the 4 way stretch material I wanted to give Duluth pants a try. These have that same super comfortable stretchy material, but that waistband is so stiff and uncomfortable. These pants look super flattering on, but I can tell the waistband is going to drive me crazy. Unfortunately I will be returning.

Comfy. Good Silhouette. Even after the dog park all I have to do is brush them off.
These used to be my favorite pants. They were great for everyday use and terrific for travel. They have gone through a terrible redesign. The front waistband is stiff and has been lengthened. The side gussets that provided the needed stretch to get over your hips are smaller. This has led to a good 2 inches less stretch in the waistband, which explains why I can now barely get them over my size 4 hips. I wish I had been warned as I now have two pairs that are outside the return window and are unwearable. If you previously loved these, beware!
I begged Duluth to bring them back, and they did! Comfortable elastic waistband, appropriate rise (not too high, not too low) crisp fabric that doesn't wrinkle, perfect pockets. The choice of inseams (when was the last time a clothing manufacturer cared if they sell pants for your specific height???) They are high quality and last forever. I am so thankful to have these pants in world that makes horrible pants for women. I wear them for everything - at my corporate job (admittedly a bit casual for business wear but the black works for me) volunteering to plant trees, hiking, yardwork. I took these traveling to Mexico and felt secure with my wallet and phone in the zip pocket. Love them. I wish I had bought a pair of the pine green before they stopped selling that color.
These are well named -- very flexible both in terms of the 4-way stretch fabric and the fact that they look good enough for casual office day and practical enough for hikes and other outdoor activity. The first pair I bought 5 years ago is still in good shape, and I've added all available colors. I appreciate having 29" length and multiple styles. Would love to have them in some lighter colors for warmer weather..Khaki or lighter gray would be great.
