The Stetson Bariloche for Best Made is named for the Patagonian town where Argentinean gauchos and ski bums mingle. It’s made from undyed, natural 6X felt — a high-grade blend of rabbit fur — for unparalleled softness and resilience. The subtly ornate hatband is handwoven horsehair, custom crafted for us. An interior leather sweatband offers the same secure comfort as all our Stetsons and a gold-foil print heralds the Stetson authenticity. With its unmistakable profile and history of weathering the elements, the Stetson Bariloche is a rare match for the dramatic landscape of the Andes foothills and the wide world beyond.

NOTES

The 6X fur felt is a bit softer than 5X. 5X is a blend of grade 1 and 2 rabbit fur, while 6X is just grade 1. For comparison, our Yukon, Odessa, and Roscoe Stetsons are all 5X.
