I love this convertible backpack. It's held up great and I've used it daily for a month. I've overstuffed it many times and it still held up. I wanted something that would fit a planner, book, essentials like a wallet and keys, and a few other materials and it all fits! The only thing I would ask to be improved is that there would be a small handle on the top for grabbing the bag by the top when it's in backpack mode.

My wife has used this for 8 years and it is still going strong. She loves how it can be carried like a backpack, and loves the leather. Numerous other women have commented on it and wished for one, but they were out of stock for a long time. Now that they are back, I bought my wife a "backup" and she's thrilled! The leather used is the best latigo leather - tough, flexible, strong and durable. It's the same type of leather that is used for the strap (latigo) used to hold saddles onto horses, which lasts and lasts even under that extreme use.
My wife bought this bag in Fall 2020 and used it almost everyday. She likes the look, the fact she can wear as backpack on adventures and also over the shoulder on nights out. However in Spring 2024 the main zipper no longer stays zipped. I expected the seams to fall apart before the zipper. Duluth... calling this a lifetime bag is misleading if it lacks lifetime zipper/parts. My wife ended up purchasing another given its versatility.
It is exactly as advertised. Excellent leather and enough compartments for my needs.
Really awesome bag and top notch quality. I've seen others here say they would prefer a magnet closure to the strap. I beg to differ. I've had for over 5 years and the strap closure is unique, beautiful, effective, and easy to use. It also adjusts when I overfill the bag like a magnetic closure would not.
