Those claiming to know the difference between swim trunks and board shorts, you are clueless. Boars shorts have a fixed waist band, no lining, and have a velcro front. Swim trunks have a lining, draw string, and no velcro lining. I have been buying board shorts since my early teens when Birdwells came out. If you wear a size 32 pants, get a 34 board short. These board shorts are great. Well made, strong material, and are true board shorts. Know your product before critisizing.

Bought a pair of these with 10" lined swimsuit, had to return these because drawstring is just for looks it doesn't go around waistband. No way to actually tighten waist to be suitable for swimming. If you dont plan on swimming these would be ok I guess. The lined ones have a true drawstring.
I liked these shorts when they arrived. I ordered them in the same size I order my pants from Duluth Trading, and they were way too small. What's the point in having a measurement for sizing if it's absolutely meaningless? How isn't that false advertising? These are going in the trash, and I'm finding a company that knows how to use a tape measure.
Liked the color but I'm going to need them altered to fit. At least it's something I can do
I mean, it says "Board Shorts" right in the description. No liner, No draw string...Why would you buy Board Shorts if you don't know what board shorts are?
