My favorite clothing to wear for work. But also just great clothing period.
Men's AKHG Puffin Mock Jacket
Our roots are in Alaska in AKHG, and if you ask any of the folks who live that far north why they stay, you’ll get stories of glorious-but-brutal wilderness, record salmon hauls out of icy waters, and iffy encounters with moose. The next thing they’ll tell you: While nature doesn’t pull any punches, it needs to be conserved. It’s why we took a hard look at our customer-favorite Puffin Jacket, and remade it from 100% recycled materials while keeping all the performance. Still packs channel-quilted synthetic insulation that lofts and insulates even when it gets soaked. With a featherweight, snag-resistant shell that holds its own against scrapes and scratches. Storm flap to block wind at the zipper, and Reach Gussets® that give you unparalleled freedom to move. Which is all to say it’s the same reliable heat-trapping Puffin as before, but now a bit kinder to that great, unkind wild.

Coat is light weight but warm.
Purchased on sale during the holidays. Returned the XLT because the sleeves were too long but the XL fit perfectly. Easy exchange. Jacket is warm, multiple pockets, not too bulky. Looks good and fits comfortably.
This is a seriously warm puffer. I have worn it during the very cold January and been quite cosy underneath (with only an undershirt and flannel). It breathes well so it works when it is merely chilly (30s). Very lightweight, like the high collar, all around great jacket. Knowing that it will retain heat better than down in wet weather is a big plus (I have a down puffer too, which I like. Nice to have variety!). Perhaps it isn't as "trim" as some of the higher priced puffers from the traditional outdoor vendors but so what? It keeps you warm at a great price and I think looks good to boot!
Slides on easily over a heavy flannel shirt.
