Duluth really is one of the better companies at producing coats, jackets & flannels. Duluths take on a Trucker jacket is a great first attempt. The best thing about the jacket is the looks, you can wear it out on the town or do actual work in it because of the articulation & gusseted armpits which is very hard to find on a Trucker jacket. My biggest gripe though is the buttons, while they look great they are hard to actually use and as someone mentioned earlier the button holes are vertical instead of the more common horizontal opening. **This jacket runs on the larger size. I'm 5' 11" 240lbs with a 48" chest and the Large fits me perfect. If your 6ft and 165lbs the Medium may be even to big for you. So Duluth please take these recommendations in for next years iteration and you will have the perfect Trucker jacket- * Add some corduroy to the collar * Add some lining to the hand pockets for better warmth * Line the sleeves with something so that it can be out on over long sleeve shirts easier * Minimal lining to the inside of the jacket would be nice * Fix the button hole openings
Men's Fire Hose Trucker Jacket
Trucker jackets are a dime a dozen, but most are wimpy lightweights built for those times you shift into idle. Not ours. In true road warrior tradition, its rugged 11.5-oz. Fire Hose® cotton canvas is as strong as a pot of truck-stop coffee. A mellowing prewash means it’ll roar out of the box feeling broken-in comfortable. And a FendOff Finish® fabric treatment lets it shrug off grease spills, whether the lubricating or hamburger variety. Reach Gussets® liberate your arms to ease through switchback turns. Wear it solo in moderate weather or layer it up with a hoodie or vest for ice road runs.
- Brawny 11.5-oz. Fire Hose® cotton canvas – same indomitable fabric used in Duluth’s legendary work pants
- FendOff Finish® fabric treatment resists road grime and hamburger grease
- Hidden Reach Gussets® and bi-swing back let you wrangle your big rig around hairpin turns
- 2 chest pockets with button-through flaps and pencil sleeves, 2 hand pockets
- Authentic metal shanks stand up to high-mileage use better than buttons
- Double shanks at cuffs and hem to tweak the fit to your liking
- Back locker loop
- Imported

Bought the medium size and it's way big on me, have been looking on and off for a while to see if they sell this in small but haven't had any luck, I got inpatient and bought the medium and turned out too baggy on me, 5'6" 140lbs, hope Duluth makes a small soon, as I'd love to own one I can wear.
I bought the black version, as I already have the brown one. It runs a little big, but don't change it as it's perfectly sized for a hoodie underneath when the weather turns colder. The material is heavy, the black one looks sharp, and the color did not fade after it was washed. It would be great if DT comes out with a version that has the hand pocket openings on top (like a chore coat) instead of on the side, so my keys won't fall out. Inner chest patch pockets with velcro, for valuables, would be nice too. Thanks.
The best Trucker Jacket anywhere! Why? Because of a Bi-Swing Back for REAL maneuverability. Anything less is not good enough. (Although cheaper to make.) Because of ruggedness. Of course a satin lining or zippers and snaps might be convenient. BUT, they would make the jacket vulnerable to rips, popped snaps, etc. This jacket is the best for serious use. I highly recommend it! I am so glad it is now available in a Tall size.
A Jacket of this type and price need silk sleeves for ease of putting on over other clothes
