Whether you’re attacking invasive buckthorn or stringing barb-wire fences, those needle-like spikes can turn your arms into pain-wracked pincushions. That’s when you’ll want to trade in your standard work gloves for our forearm-protecting Gauntlet Gloves. The supple, durable goatskin leather glove gives you the dexterity for fine work like pruning spiky shrubs. Padded palms help reduce fatigue when you’re bushwhacking thistles and chopping burdocks. Extra-long pigskin gauntlet cuffs reach all the way to your elbows, protecting you from agonizing pokes and punctures. Take on the thorniest jobs with the gloves built to put pricks in their place.

Great design idea … poor execution! Full leather gauntlet gloves. Lots of uses, especially around thorny things. Fundamental execution flop: gloves need to be big enough to put your hand in! Look nice in garage hanging on wall or atop my tool chest … Awesome!! Sadly, after reading reviews, thinking how bad could it be? I wear XL, always big. I ordered size XL, biggest size offered (would have ordered XXL or XXXL, if offered) and hoped. Package arrived on time and gloves were right on top. Looked good, quality good, leather a bit thin but workable, hand looked small and tight but it's leather, there are ways to work with it. First try, failed to get hand past wrist joint. Second try, got fingers partially into finger stalls. Third try, wet my hands and pulled, and pulled, and pulled, finally getting my fingers to top of finger stalls. Glove is very tight so I try to stretch it by forming a fist … NO LUCK! Glove is so tight I cannot make a fist without cutting off circulation and is very painful. Unsalvageable situation, back they go! I normally wear size XL in both my golf and batting gloves and these measurements are way off. So, if you want these gloves, size at least 2sizes up and if you don't have sizes to spare … move on, it's no deal if it doesn't work for you. I hate to trash a great company like Duluth Trading, but they said to be truthful. Duluth guys: Let's do this again next season with sizing re- measured to the American hand and then some. America! Where everything is built bigger!
This was my first visit to Duluth Trading my daughter referred me to your store, and It will not be the last time i shop at Duluth Trading co. She knew I did a lot of shopping at Bass Pro Shops and Thought I would Like Duluth. The gloves i purchased served their purpose well but were a Litle hard to remove once they were damp with sweat. overall, I liked the protection they gave me.
I am a woman with fairly large hands. Usually a men's medium works fine for me. But I read the reviews here, and ordered a large, and I'm sure glad I did. They just arrived, and they fit me PERFECTLY. So there is no WAY a large man could wear these. We will see how they hold up, but I do really like the heavy leather gauntlet cuff. That will be very helpful in dealing with brushy thorny things. All in all, I think these are going to be super, but do realize that they run EXTREMELY small!
Gloves look very good and appear to be well-made. Leather thickness is more for casual/riding use, does not seem thick enough for long-term wear; this factor alone would have triggered a return for me. Sizing is way off. My hands measure large (L); I ordered instead XL based on other reviews and for flexibility. Order arrived quickly. I could barely get a glove on my left hand; my right (dominant) hand would not even go through the gauntlet-to-glove junction. I would rate these as "Runs Very Small". Return process seems smooth, but you are charged shipping.
