Men's Lifetime Leather Belt
A while back, a leathersmith showed us a relic from the ’70s – a heavy-duty leather belt of epic durability. “Nobody makes them like this any more,” he lamented, “but I figured you guys could.” We worked with him to bring back the most durable, ruggedly handsome thick leather belt you’ve ever seen – one you’ll still be wearing decades down the line. Two brawny layers of top-grain Italian leather – 40% heavier than standard belts (yet still a comfortable weight to wear). The layers are fused, then stitched with heavy-duty cord. The chunky antique brass buckle has rounded corners so it won’t jab you when you sit. One of our customers says he wears it so much, “They’ll probably bury me in it!”

My "Lifetime" belt came un-stitched and the two layers became separated. This is the second "Lifetime" belt this has happened with. I got about a year and a half out of each belt, consecutively before they started to fall apart. Let me clarify this is casual use, with shorts and jeans, not utility use. Went to the DTC store in Cary NC when I was in town. The nice employee at the counter helping me seemed concerned with the poor quality/durability of the belt upon inspection. I've always been impressed with the employees at this store. However, the store Manager couldn't be bothered to even look at it or talk with me as he quickly passed by saying "Nope, only guaranteed for a year!" and kept walking. Wow, nice customer service...NOT! Very disappointed with DTC. I've since replaced my "Lifetime" belt with a Hanks Belt that seems to be of superior quality...in both the products and customer support. Despite the cute and clever marketing gimmicks of DTC, know that this company only stands behind their products for a year, No Bull! ...Buyer beware!

This belt is too stiff, simply put. The leather and buckle are top grade, but the belt is so stiff it is difficult to buckle or, especially, unbuckle. I won't be buying another one.
The layers separated after less than 2 years. Nice at the beginning but definitely does not last.
Belt fit well but splitting apart. For something named Lifetime I would hope to get more than a couple years out of it. Duluth, do you warranty this?
Belt #20344 What a disappointment when I looked to see that this (super stiff, lifetime) belt is "made in CHINA". I have purchased other belts from Duluth Trading and they were softer, flexible, long-lasting leather. When I entered the original item #'s from my well worn belts of course, these part numbers are no longer available: #60223 and #80016 both stamped with "DULUTH TRADING" AND MADE IN USA. And I'm still planning to use them but wanted a newer "replacement", not at all what I received. It will be quite some time before I order from D.T. again.
