Don’t Think Twice! Waterproof, Breathable Bibs Are a No-Rainer

In the process of keeping water out, most rain gear holds heat and sweat in – making you feel like you’re trapped in a sauna. Not so No-Rainer® Rain Bibs. They’re 100% waterproof and seam sealed, with rugged nylon fabric that’s treated with a DWR finish so water rolls off instead of clinging to the shell. Yet they’re highly breathable, thanks to a special bonded membrane that lets you work up a sweat and still feel fresh. Plus fine-tuned features like no-gouge elastic shoulder straps, stay-dry pockets and boot zippers that open to the thigh for easier on/off. Bone-dry. More breathable. Smarter built. It all makes No-Rainer gear our most comfortable rain gear yet when you’re working up a storm.

Just What's Wanted for Mud Season in Maine

Bought this because my previous Alaska Hard Gear bib overalls died a valiant death after five years on the farm. I've a pair of winter bib overalls from Duluth, but needed something cooler to work in as the Maine winter faded into a wet, muddy spring. I use these when I'm mucking stalls, walking my border collies, or generally doing any kind of work around the farm. A key point to note is that before they arrived, I was wearing my regular insulated jeans or work pants, and EVERY DAY my wife had to put the pants in the wash because they were filthy. Not so with these overalls. I'll go for two weeks before they need a wash. The fabric sheds water (they're waterproof), and I really don't care if I get them muddy, covered in paw prints, or splattered with what the cows and horses leave in the pasture. They're more rugged than my previous AHG overalls, and I like the material better. They don't get me overly warm, either. They have a chest pocket, which I use constantly, and one right-side cargo pocket, which I use constantly, but they don't have a left-side cargo pocket, which I would have used constantly, nor do they have side pockets, which I also would have used constantly. Could probably use more pockets, because this piece of clothing is, for me, sort of my 'work assistant', and you know it's always handy for the assistant to have as many places to put things as possible. The size is as advertised, and I like the length, because it keeps the mud (and the other stuff) off the boot tops and out of the laces. The suspender straps are rugged, too, and for some reason they work to keep the overalls up just fine without me having to jury rig or cross them, like I had to with the previous AHG overalls. Someone was thinking when they designed this items. My thanks to the crew at Duluth, and to those others on the team who sourced and produced this very fine piece of working farm clothing.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

Great Buy!

I've been disappointed with rain gear purchases too often. But the No-Brainer Rain Pants are not one of them! These pants are roomy enough to easily pull on and the suspenders are easily attached. I'm looking forward to bad weather!
