My husband says this is the best winter hat he has ever worn, warm, comfortable and keeps the blinding snow glare out of his eyes!

Good Hat

I use this hat mostly to do a lot of deer and rabbit hunting with a group of guys. We push off a lot of major brier patches, that tend to destroy a brier resistant coat every 4 or 5 years. This hat, is like a helmet for briers. I have very seldomly ever had the briers get through it. The flaps really help protect the neck and ears a lot, where the coat's collar doesn't cover. After abusing if for at least 6 or 7 seasons, it is barely showing some shredding around the some of the seams. And I expect it'll still last for many years yet. As others have mentioned, it does run small. The small fit was actually nice for this use, cause it wouldn't get ripped off my head by briers easily. When it comes to briers, I just put my head down, to protect my face, and go through head first. I have also used this hat for bicycling in below freezing temperatures. It keeps my head nice and warm, even when sweating. And the fit keeps it from blowing off easily. It really is an excellent hat.

Hat does run small. Started with XL and had to return for 2XL to fit correctly. Hat is very warm on the inside. Wish it had an adjustable device (buckle or strap) so you could tighten or loosen at will.

I order this hat for my husband. I measured his head and ordered the size based on the size chart on the website. Had to return the first one because it was much too small. Ordering an exchange was very easy and free. New one is great and will be needed this winter. Just know you need to order a larger size.
