This is honestly the best coat I've ever worn. Fit is so comfortable. It's warm. Pockets are great. Great movement capabilities.

Our Fire Hose® canvas jackets have earned legendary status among working men for their never-say-die durability. But now there’s an even more rugged jacket on the jobsite. It’s made of DuluthFlex® Fire Hose® HD – a high-tech wonder fabric that withstands abrasion 4X better than tried-and-true cotton work canvas. Better yet, it has more than double the tensile strength and rip resistance of highly durable original DuluthFlex Fire Hose fabric. Yet for all its ruggedness, DuluthFlex Fire Hose HD is remarkably wearable thanks to the work-friendly 10-oz. weight and remarkable built-in stretch. A cushy sherpa lining keeps you warm when the mercury tumbles. The bi-swing back, articulated elbows and Reach Gussets® give you the freedom to grapple with big jobs. An expandable hood fits easily over your hard hat. And 11 pockets give you ample storage for phone, pencils, gloves, notepad and much more. Order up yours today and tear through your punch list, not your jacket.
The Fure Hose proved itsself king with the recent artic cold snap. 20 degrees, 10 degrees to even well below 0 winds, this thing laughed at em. Bravo Duluth! Ordered this one abd the Prudoe Bay as wasnt sure which one Id like. The Prudoe while being a great coat, simply couldnt match the Fire Hose which won across the board.
Very short body length for a jacket, at 6'2 the bottom sits right at the belt line, shorter than my shirts.
I've bought probably close to 30 Duluth coats and jackets over the years and this one is near the top. Love the fit and it offers great movement. My only small gripe with this is the cuffs. For this being a working jacket I really wish they would have used the same cuffs they use on the Superior Firehose Jacket with the knit storm cuffs. Beyond this maybe someway to secure the main hand pockets too as they have a large opening and if you're working in snow I can imagine it will blow into the pockets easy. Beyond these small tweaks this jacket is dang near perfect for those cold days.
I only purchased this because it went on sale. If I paid full price, I've would have returned it. The outside is soft. I can't see it being abrasion resistant. The inside feels very cheap. Pockets are great and location, but material inside the pockets, cheap. I feel the pockets will not last. Duluth should be ashamed of themselves. I own a Whaleback jacket. THAT'S THE MATERIAL THEY SHOULD HAVE USED.
