I'm using it to protect my left arm when welding or doing hot metal work. With a glove to protect my hand over this sleeve up my elbow I can get more protection than with a standard welding gauntlet. My only complaint is that the sleeve is made for specially for the right arm. Wearing it on the left arm leaves the closing flap edge upwards to perhaps catch and retain some hot sparks.

Does what it is made to do. Quality is a great and sleeves are well designed.
These sleeves should come as a pair because who prunes roses with only one hand? So just remember to order two of them for full protection. Love them and do recommend them.
They mention buying two for a set (which I did). Problem is that the hole is on the one side for your thumb and they didn't reverse it for the opposite side! I basically have two gloves for a right hand.
I did not buy these for pruning. I have a new puppy, sharp teeth and claws. I am on blood thinners. I cut easy and bruise easy as well. Theses sleeves protect my arms and i can play with the puppy and rough house a little more. These do the trick and i am very happy.
