There’s No Waiting for Fair Weather

It’s as rugged and technical as storm shells comes. We built Stormwall Rain Gear to defend against driving rain and slashing branches alike thanks to triple-layer fabric technology. The shell is rugged, ripstop nylon that shrugs off scrapes, with a comfortable lining inside that keeps it from feeling clammy like common rainsuits. Sandwiched between those layers? A high-performance 15K waterproof, 15K breathable barrier that keeps you dry and comfortable even when working up a sweat. Pit zips let you vent when the pace picks up. And the water-tight Batten Hatch™ cuff means you can dip your hand in a pool of water and keep your sleeves dry. Sometimes plans demand you get out there whether it’s rain or even more rain, but put on a Stormwall and you’ll stay dry through anything.

Didn't meet waterproof expectations

This jacket seems to be quality made, hefty zippers, lots of pockets, and seems substantial for bushwhacking but the level of waterproofing is not the best. Wore this jacket in a major downpour and within 20 minutes the shoulders started to soak through. Thought maybe it was sweat, wore it in some light rain for about an hour walking the dog, and again, the shoulder were soaking through making my shirt damp underneath. This will not do if hiking for many hours and it's raining. I really wanted to love this jacket, but the main purpose for me is being waterproof, and it doesn't hit that mark. The zippers are not seam sealed, either. For such an expensive coat that's touted as waterproof I'd think there would be seam sealed zips 🤔 it's a nice coat, but don't depend on it for staying dry.

Lightweight, versatile, and keeps you dry

This coat is incredible! It has a very nice heft to it - you can feel it keeping you warm and dry, yet is so lightweight. The fabric is tough enough to hold up to some off-trailing and the zippers are sturdy and easy to use - even with gloves! It has lots of pockets that zip completely to keep everything safe. I wore it out in a heavy storm and stayed completely dry! And if it gets too toasty, it ventilates well, or is pliable enough to tie around your waist. Love this coat!

Great jacket, runs large

I am five foot nine inches, 165 lbs, wear a size 10 pants, large shirt, 38C. I ordered the large and it was huge, the sleeves covered my hands and I could pull it out in front of me at least a foot when zipped up. I exchanged for a medium, which came promptly and fits perfectly. The sleeves hit a little past my wrist (I have long arms) and I have enough room to layer a hoodie underneath. The fabric is fantastic, a nice thick waterproof layer, although a little loud. I absolutely love the under arm venting and there are plenty of pockets. The hood fits very well and stays put in windy conditions. Highly recommend!

Substantial Raingear

Hi, I got the large. The Shoulders are roomy width, not too narrow, but, who's idea was it to cut the width of the lower coat body part like a man's coat? Women are not generally built without any hips. I have 41 1/2 hip, 5'4" tall- when I zip the coat and walk- the bottom bunches up! Should not be cut to be slim at bottom. Two way zipper is great, but, does not solve the bunching front and defeats the purpose of staying covered.... Inside sleeve cinch is clever looking, but, I need an exterior wrist clamper to keep the sleeves out of the dirt, and skin not accessible to Ticks....I also found it difficult to use that interior sleeve strap. No chance to check on waterproofing yet, or breathability. I like the pit zips. Nice zipper and coat is not flimsy. Better looking than the one with all the exterior pockets, nice profile. Good work raincoat overall.

Awesome rain coat but huge!

Seems like a great rain jacket so far with well-constructed hood, good materials, etc. However, I got the small and it was massive on me! Normally I'm a small-medium. I would have exchanged for the xs but my color choice is gone. Bummer.
