The top fits true to size but the bottoms are 2 sizes 2 big! The bottoms are also extremely long! I would indeed call them clown pants. I purchased the 3X size.

Wife received these for Christmas. She loved the feel and look, but after only two washings, the material started piling. And not just a little. Looks they have been worn for a year. Definitely will be returning them.

The pattern (fox foliage) is adorable and before the fabric started pilling, it was soft and very comfortable. After maybe two or three wears, I noticed it had started pilling. If I recall correctly, the packaging said it was anti-pill. I don't know if I'm not washing it correctly or if my detergent is too harsh, but I expect better after having no quality issues with a pair of pajama pants I purchased from Duluth about a year ago. Some of the other reviews also mention the shirt being too small and the pants being too big, and I have the same issue. The shirt fits as long as I don't move much and I'm glad that the pants have a drawstring.

The material is extremely soft. That's probably the only reason I am keeping these and not returning them to the store. I ordered a 3X (I'm usually a 2x) because I like my pajamas a bit larger. The top fits wonderfully, I have no complaints there. The bottoms, on the other hand, are downright ridiculous. I call them my clown pants. I seriously need suspenders to wear these things. I tightened the drawstring as tight as I can get it and they still fall off of me. I am 5'5" and the pants are way too long on me. Not just a little long. I washed them separately on hot and dried them on high heat to try to shrink them and that didn't even work. I washed the shirt normally and they're both still as soft as when I first got them. I guess I'll have to find another pair of bottoms to wear with the top. These definitely should've been sold individually. I do not know what Duluth was thinking on these. And if anybody has any recommendations on shrinking these pants, please let me know.

I ordered a size 3X in the sangria winter botanical color. Pros: I like how the fabric feels. They seem to wash fairly well. The color is beautiful. Cons- The fit is weird: -Like I said, I ordered a 3X. However, I'm actually a little bigger than a 3X- usually I wear a 4X in Duluth tops. For reference, I am 5'5" and short in the torso. -The top was snug, as I've come to expect from a top that is a little smaller than my actual size. -The pants are ridiculously large! Based on the size chart, I measure as a size 30 W pants. These supposed 24/26W pants are like clown pants on me. They are so long that I cut off 7 inches from the bottom. The rise is so long that the crotch hangs literally halfway to my knees. I should not be getting chub rub while wearing pajama pants. The waist is so large that you have to have it tied or it slips right off. I've never had a pair of pajamas pants that were this large. Normally I don't even tie the waist on pajamas and the elastic holds it up just fine. With the tie there is extra security if I shove something in my pockets. I will keep them because I've modified them to fit me- Cut off the bottoms- But I am really glad I got them on sale. I'm especially glad that they did not go up to a size 4X or I would've made the mistake of ordering it and not being able to wear them at all. I would recommend these to someone who is more of an exaggerated pear shape, and really tall. While I absolutely adore Duluth trading company and I love that they have a wonderful return policy, it is still a huge pain to return anything purchased online. It is just not worth my time.
