Built in North Carolina by Council Tool—one of the last remaining axe manufacturers in North America—this puck is perfect for field sharpening axes, machetes and other cutting tools. The gray medium-grit (ANSI 240) quickly cuts and shapes while the white fine-grit (ANSI 400) is intended for final sharpening and finishing. Both sides easily absorb and retain water—no need for honing oil—and a thin film on the puck’s surface helps keep the pores from becoming clogged with metal shavings.
