Goes Face To Face With Rock Faces

Glaciers and ravines are life-changing locales to explore, and also excellent spots to shred common fleece outerwear. When your day takes you well beyond comfortable surroundings, best to take a fleece built to weather rough treatment like this one. It’s made with Polartec Hardface tech, which increases the abrasion resistance while retaining all the warmth and breathability that Polartec Thermal Pro fleece is renowned for. The fabric is lightweight and breathable, with a hit of stretch so your fleece never holds you back. Better still, it’s made of 91% recycled polyester – something welcome to anyone with a love of the wild.

Trek to Machu Picchu

Medium fits me at 6 ft/190 pounds/ 44-46 chest / 32 waist Broke it in on Trek to Bolivia Peru. Pretty warm. Comfortable in 40 degree weather and colder. Flexible to unzip and leave open when hot. Held up to various travel modes and backpacks. Good deep interior pockets without interior zippers. I'd like more zippers. Does the job.

Warm, as long as there's No Wind

I have several Duluth / Alaskan Vests and they are all nice, but there's always something small that are an issue. With this vest it's warm, a little to warm for my area. But if there is any wind it cuts right through this vest. There needs to be a wind liner in an update version. The same holds true for most of Duluth products!!

Warm Vest But Fussy Collar

This vest is plenty warm though I haven't worn it in wind or rain. There are plenty of pockets for a layering garment. The shell is a curiously soft material material which I suspect might be very susceptible to getting caught on brush if worn as an outer layer. My rating of 4 stars is based on the the collar which does not want to lay flat and consequently has a tendency to rub on the back of the neck.

Duluth's fleece hardgear vest

I purchased this vest in November to wear over my insulated hoodie nice fit easy to work in. Hears were the bad begins after only 1 month I started noticing small snags in the fabric.Second this vest is in no way wind proff the slightest wind goes right though the vest.Third this is not in anyway water resistant. After only 3 months the zipper broke.Im very disappointed in the quality of this product at a over a 100 dollar price point don't by this vest unless you are wearing this under another coat as you will be very disappointed. So I will returning this to the store asap

Great if you get the right size for you

I was able to try these on in store. I'm 6'1 and 205lbs, 36 inch waist, 46 inch chest. And I wear a Medium in this vest. I've not owned a medium anything since Jimmy Carter was President. The fit is snug but no pressure on the zippers even when I have a full fleece on under it. i tried on other model Duluth vests and they were too short for my torso. this was the only vest that felt more Medium Tall in nature. Duluth does not offer Medium vests in tall so that narrowed it down to only this model vest. Walking the dog in 40 degrees and this vest was nice and warm. the right lower pocket has a cell phone pouch in it and the pockets themselves were warm to my hands as I walked. Time will tell how the vest ages but I wanted a nice looking snug vest to let me walk or hit golf balls in winter without the bulk of heavy coats. this vest met the need.
