I don't want to casually remove it to mop sweat from my brow or scratch an itch, because it's a little time consuming to positon this unit precisely on a ballcap. Once in place it is very effective in keeping the ears and forehead warm and still allows me to vent with my favorite mesh ballcaps. When it starts to slip down over my eyes or the wind kicks up I simply give the lower band a half twist and tighten up.
