I heat with wood for over 55 years and Duluth Men's Fence Mender Gauntlet gloves are the best gloves i have ever used. I move over 6 cords a year only negative is the fingers get holes in them. Please reinforce the fingers. Duluth has a great 1 year replacement warranty and they stand by their products. Very fast delivery. The people who work for Duluth are very helpful and nice. I have given 3 pairs of gloves to love ones. The gloves work great to load the wood stove also. Thank you , Mike Kaplan
I just threw away my last pair and ordered another. They lasted about 3 years to the day. I have what amounts to a small farm, but I don't work as hard as farmers. So if you're a farmer, you'll probably get two years out of these gloves. I've never had anything punch through these gloves, not saw briars, not barbed wire, not cat's teeth. Haven't ever been bitten by a dog or raccoon with them on, but they would be my go to pair if i thought I was going to have to handle an unwilling varmint. Haven't found any better for everyday work.
Got this new pair of gloves to do yard work in my rose garden. Then decided to remove the 500' long 5 strand barbed wire fence on my back yard. This picture is after using only these gloves and a pair of fencing pliers to remove a total of 2500' of 50+ year old barbed wire. Not once did I feel any poke that was any type of discomfort. And my hands were not tired when I was done either because the leather is just the right thickness & shape to form to your hand.

This is my 3rd pair of these gloves They last longer than any other gloves I have owned.
