Good shirt, but runs large. I normally wear a large, but had to size down to a medium to get the desired fit. The neck hole is too big to wear this shirt with a tie, but I didn't buy to wear with one, so not an issue for me. Good shirt for business casual, but would go with something better fitting if trying to be more formal.
I'm trying Duluth for the first time. I bought a few different shirts and sizes because I really like fitted shirts, but I am a bit between medium and large usually. I am 5'11", 175lb, sort of trim but not as much as before, slightly broad neck and slightly long arms for my height and weight. The neck hole and arm-length are great on the Large, Slim Fit for me, but it is REALLY baggy, especially all down the arms and the lower back. If you're used to other company slim fit or fitted shirts, this is not the same. There are no darts to bring in the fabric from rib cage on down like on other fitted shirts. And the arms are just very baggy (possibly to try and accomodate guys with more arm muscle than me). But the forearms especially are really baggy without the same excuse. The neck is a little big if I were going to wear a tie (would bunch up a tiny bit), but I won't be with this shirt, so the neck is sized fine. The Medium Slim Fit I got of a different shirt from Duluth is better fitted for my body, but still no darts for a real fitted look. The sleeves on that are still baggier than they need to be, but almost too short for me. If I order more in the future I will go for Medium Slim Fit given my size, and knowing they aren't actually very fitted. Otherwise, nice shirt on reciept. I like the 100% cotton.
Writing this review in relation to the multiple pairs of Wrinklefighters I purchased years ago before my size was discontinued. Even though the Slim fit shirts haven't been produced in a Small in a number of years now, I -still- get colleagues asking about the pairs that I have. Absolutely wonderful build quality and durability, and going strong many, many years later. Perfect fit in the shoulders and slimmed in the waist, exactly what I need for a daily shirt that works for pretty much any occasion. I just wish the Small sizing would come back, even in limited options! (similar to the Swingin' Flannel shirts.) I would absolutely scoop them right up!
Consistently meets Duluth's standards of quality, performance and style.
