Love the fabric, but struggle to buckle the straps, since they can't stretch around for.me to reach them. I almost always have to ask someone else to put them over my shoulder for me, which can be interesting in a publoc.place. Also PLEASE.LONGER LENGTH!!! Us tall girls like overalls too, but i hate them.stopping at my ankle.
Women's Armachillo Cooling Overalls
Our Armachillo® Cooling Overalls offer the relief that will keep you plowing through summer heat. Microscopic jade is embedded into the fabric for a cooling effect like you’ve never felt before. Wicking and antimicrobial finish whisks away moisture and fights odor when you’re working up a sweat. Added spandex makes for plenty of unrestricted stretch, and a Crouch Gusset® frees you to lunge and squat with ease. For extra airflow, slip off the straps and drop the top half! A drawstring at the waist keeps your bottoms fastened while your torso is free. You’ll notice an interior bib pocket – this was strategically built upside down so that when the top is dropped, you’ll have easy storing access right in front of you! Tuck away your straps or keep a tool handy. And if that weren’t enough, there are 10 other pockets ready to put your shed to shame. Top it off with UPF 40 so you can stay out longer to get it all done. Welcome to your new summer uniform.

I LOVE these overalls. I live in beautiful Hawaii where it's summer all year and I work in on our two acres all year long. These overalls stand up to lava rocks and the heat. When the wind blows, the fabric gets noticeably cooler. I have three pairs of these little miracles! Every third day, they get washed, and start back into rotation. If I had a magic wand, I would offer more colors and maybe even that darling gnome print! If you live anywhere with high humidity and heat…just buy a pair and say hello to your new best friends!!! You can thank me later, Aloha!
I've bought and been gifted a bunch of these overalls in different colors so even ones I've had for five years are in good share and not worn out. The fabric is cool in the summer, dries quickly, and is rugged so they're great gardening overalls for all these reasons. My issue is a consistent one with the weakness of the drawstring at the waist. It's not "built tough". I'm small enough that the smallest size is still roomy and there's no "pull" on them - yet in every single pair of overalls I have the drawstring has broken in the same spot so I can't use it anymore. I called Duluth about this when yet another drawstring broke since it seems like this is a flaw of some sort. Since all of the overalls are older than one year which is just about when the drawstring breaks, I called Duluth and they were like "tough luck". I explained that I now have six pairs of overalls with the exact same issue that are not functional for this reason and asked if they could at least send me extra drawstrings to try to push through the overalls or if I could send them to get fixed. I can't afford to buy a half dozen new pairs! They just kept telling me their policy. I get it, but I'm not sure if I'll ever buy another pair of Duluth for this reason - or feel comfortable recommending them like I have for years without this warning.

I've owned these for at least 3 years, and they are magic. I work on a berry farm, and in the summer I am constantly hot and sweaty. These overalls are the lightest weight I've found but incredibly sturdy. I've stopped wearing any other work pants when the temp is going to be at least 70 degrees, which means I wear them pretty constantly in the field from May through September. I have two pairs, one worn for 3 years, one for 2, with ZERO holes in the knees*. Zero! No other work pant or overall has come close to that. If you get hot easily but want to protect your legs when kneeling on grass/dirt/landscape fabric, etc. I cannot recommend these enough. I can be soaked with sweat, go inside for lunch, and these overalls will be dry when I head back out 30 min later. I like the drawstring (didn't expect to) because pressure, even with elastic, on my shoulders when sitting gives me headaches, but the drawstring lets me set the straps a little loose while keeping the pants at the right spot. I've gained some weight since I first bought these so pulling them over my hips has gotten tight, but they still fit great otherwise. I like the ability to roll up the bottoms and snap them in place to be capris. * No other worn out areas either, just one small hole from this spring when I was using the drill to sent a self drilling screw through 2 metal pipes. The screw was too dull, so I popped it in my pocket to throw away later, forgetting it would be hot after 2 minutes spinning rapidly against metal. Whoops. The screw melted a small hole in my pocket. The hole hasn't widened or torn though.
I am new to Duluth and specifically their overalls. I am thrilled they have a few options to so I ordered one of each after trying on what I could in a store. I found the sizing to be a bit all over the place and so I'm grateful for their excellent no questions asked return policy as it took me a lot of ordering, trying on, and returning to find the right ones for me. Although I loved both the Armachillo Cooling Overalls and the Heirloom Gardening Overalls, these cooling overalls are the winner as they are lightweight (I'm always hot and in the summer I'm trying to stay cool but still cover by body from poisonous plants, itchy bugs, dirt, etc) and very comfortable and durable, easy to wash, LOVE the drawstring waist and criss cross back straps. BUT the winning piece of the contest was the fact that the Armachillo's have snaps at the cuff on both the inside and outside for both legs, whereas the Heirloom's only have a single snap on the outside of each leg, which means the cuffs are constantly falling down, getting filled with dirt and water, and needing to be adjusted, which takes my time away from gardening and is a pain in the butt. So, even though the Heirloom fabric would be slightly heavier/warmer for fall/winter, and the fabric is stretchier, and it has pockets for knee pads, the Armachillo wins due to the cuff issue. So I ask Duluth, why skimp on something so important...especially for us short gals that need that cuff option to avoid our overall hems getting soaked in wet grass, rain, mud, etc. I'm 5'4" and even the 29" length needs rolled on wet days.
