Disappointed. Purchased this item last season and really wanted a classic fisherman sweater. Loved the look and thought everything about it fit the bill: collar, cable knit, buttons, the whole deal. However, it is extremely itchy as others have pointed out despite it being described otherwise, and it piles relentlessly, on everything i wear under it or brush against. It's just awful. Despite the "dry clean' nomenclature, I thought a hand wash in the machine might rectify both issues but got no joy from that attempt. I wear it around the house over top of my pajamas in the winter but only to justify the expense.

I really wanted to love this sweater. I even bought three, in different colors. But after only two wearings of one sweater, the material showed an excessive amount of pilling. They are all going back despite the comfort and nice styling. I loved the pockets, too. Spinning the yarn with a tighter twist would help a lot with the pilling problem.

Great quality and classic style.

It fits arms tightly if worn over anything other than light weight blouse. But most disturbing it pilled from first wearing. Nice color otherwise fit was good.

I got the size small, and it fit, but the only color left was white, and the nice creamy natural white sort of clashed with my platinum hair, which appears a less yellow hue, so the combination wasn't right. If there had been blue, green, or red it would have been better. But the creamy white is the traditional color of this kind of Irish sweater, so I kept it and gave it to an acquaintance. On sale the sweater is much more reasonable than most of its type, and it is better designed to look sleek, not easy with chunky peasant style sweaters. I will check early next year to try to get a better color for my self soon in the sale.
