I bought these pants for going on walks in the winter (25 degrees and colder) they are great. I have worn them several times for going on hikes and they are comfortable and very warm. If we ever get any snow to cross country ski I will try them out. I was so pleased with the pants I purchased an additional pair. I also have several pairs of the unlined Flexpedition pants. I purchased the same size I wear in the unlined and they fit great. If you want to be able to wear long underwear you might want to go up one size.

These have become my winter daily wear. They are warm and comfortable and easy to keep clean. I hike, do horse chores, and groom my Poodles in them and they still look great at the end of the day. Dog hair, hay, and dirt brushes right off of them. They have just enough stretch and fit very nicely. I'm 5'7, 145 pounds, and wear a 4 long
Love the fact that I could order these long, it's a luxury as women's pants are always too short for me (well most of the time) I like pants to come down and touch my shoes. I'm 51, when I was a kid too short pants were called high waters and not a good look, plus I like warm ankles and I can always roll these up on top of my ankle boots. These are fitting the bill for chilly PNW winter hikes, dog walking and some outdoor projects in cold weather. Too warm for me for shopping and running errands in. Too hot for the grocery store, too hot to go out for lunch, but I run warm anyway. If you are always cold you'll probably wear these all winter indoors and out. The little big thing? on the inside of the waste band, on the left belly there is a large tag sewn in on all four sides of the tag and it was torture until I removed it with a seam ripper tool. This tag would be hard to remove without a seam ripper or a very precise small scissors. There is no way I could wear them with that tag. Extremely irritating. On a long hike under the waist strap of a backpack, this would turn into a raw sore. For me. Maybe I am more sensitive than some, but the tag had to go and I am surprised that in such a functional brand there would be a pain point like this. Anyway, tag is removed and I LOVE these pants-minus the tag. 4.5 stars due to the tag, 5 stars without
I bought these for a trip to Europe in mid-December. I did not need to wear thermals or any other pants with them. The temperature was in the 40s and very damp, and these kept me toasty warm. I ordered the petite size as I am short. I was pleasantly surprised I did not have to roll them up to walk in them. They were a great buy. I highly recommend these pants.
so comfortable and they stay up ! they aren't itchy and i didn't get cold. I have plenty of hips, butt and thighs and they still fit perfect and looked good . i need more
