I had such a hard time finding a tank like this - it has broad shoulders and I have broad shoulders so it's flattering. I'm really glad I read reviews. I saw two that said they ordered 2 sizes -smaller- than their normal sized. I made sure to do that and I had success. Other than the confusing sizing, the tank is great! I ordered a L, M, and S just to be sure. I kept the small and ordered 2 more. I'm going to make a trip down to the store close to me to return them and some other things. Decide how much to put into this. Thanks you, other reviewers! Your advice made this a good experience :)

Size
Because of the binding, the armholes are uncomfortable when too large. At 5'9" and 180 lbs, I always, ALWAYS wear a DT XL, or even an XXL in woven shirts. These tanks are just too large. Because I love the neckline and the overall length, I returned for a smaller size.
I purchased the gray striped tank and I really like the fit and fabric. I normally wear an extra large but I purchased a large and it fits perfectly. The only quirk is that my bra may show in the front arm area.
I'm getting rather annoyed with the sizing issues amongst Duluth Trading clothes. You never know if you're ordering the correct size the first time, until you order something and try it on and learn for the future. I cannot get the size I actually need now because it's not in stock in all the colors I had picked, so there goes my exchange and I have to pay a return fee instead. Because I had bought them on deep discount the return will be 1/2 the cost of the tanks. If Duluth would just have consistent sizing this would solve that problem. These tanks are huge! I normally wear a Large in the No Yank Tanks and sized down after reading reviews of these tanks. The Medium is enormous and I'm not a little person. I could have sized down to Small or even XS maybe. For reference I normally wear Large t-shirts, I would've never guessed I need a small in this shirt. It's a shame. I wanted these to work, I liked the higher neck and shoulders that cover my bra strap.
I have always worn a medium in Duluth and these run more like a standard XL. It feels like Duluth has been making things larger over time in their respective sizes. I could probably wear an XS and it would fit like a medium should. I'm 5'2" and 140lbs and I'm swimming in it. The length is expected being long tail, but the overall size feels like I'm wearing a trash bag.
