I have been wearing this jacket all day every day all winter ever since I bought it. It's the warmest most perfect winter coat I've ever had. I keep checking back to see if there's an XS available so I can buy a backup in case anything happens to the one I have, Duluth, please restock in small sizes again!

Cold, tough days call for tough, warm jackets. And that’s exactly why we built our Ruffer Puffer Down Jacket. It’s made with toasty 650-fill-power duck down that’s wrapped in a rugged, durable nylon shell – because what’s the point of all that fill power if you can’t put it to work? Ruffer Puffer’s also windproof and water-resistant thanks to a DWR coating, and it’s crafted with a Nor’easter’s worth of weather-busting features, like internal storm cuffs that seal out bitter drafts and a storm flap under the one-way zipper. And when the wind’s really blowing wicked, bury your chin and nose in the tall collar and cinch down the adjustable hood.

This is hands down the best jacket I've ever owned. Winters in Ottawa are the worst and this makes going outside bearable. Patiently waiting for the long version to come back in stock so I can buy that one as well.
This coat is worth every penny and I'm hoping that Duluth Trading Co. will continue to make the Ruffer Puffer down jacket. I would jump on another if it was just a bit longer (how about fingertip length to cover our bums) in a second. It is the coziest coat I've ever had and super warm. The pockets feel great to my hands and the hood is seriously warm. I use it as a chore coat, even though I hate to and would rather keep it for my everyday coat. I'm impressed with the stout material (yes, it makes crinkle noises when it's cold, but it's so warm) and the evergreen color is beautiful. I bought it a size up to wear over insulated bibs. Now for the longer length with side vents or a 2-way zipper....in the gorgeous evergreen or an awesome navy.
This jacket is nice and warm. It only has one major drawback for me. ….The pockets openings on either front side are sooo small that with gloves on it is impossible to get anything out. I wear this jacket only when I absolutely need the warmth for this reason. There is one inside phone pocket that is ok I washed the jacket and as with all down, the drying process was lengthy (commercial dryer, tennis balls followed by home dryer. The final results were good. This is my second winter with this jacket. The hood is large and warm. Single digits and -0 comfortable. Fix the pockets!!!
I bought this for my wife as she needed a very warm jacket that blocked the wind. She has parkas but wanted something with more mobility. Living not to far from Duluth, close to Lake Superior, the temps with wind-chill are routinely double digits below zero. Snow storms commonly drop four to twelve inches of snow. She also needed something more durable then the thin layers most down coats have. This was the answer, it plain works. With her Trucks cab heat out she's even more pleased. The other day with the temps -28 ,and the winds howling, she was very glad to have the hood. Though, she initially wanted a jacket without one. Only thing to add to this jacket would be a detachable hood and/or extra material patches at high wear spots. Sizing was spot on I was able to use the size chart on the website to make sure she'd have room for a sweater underneath if needed. Pricing was more affordable then other brands I looked at at the time. The material looks to be durable enough to sustain small branches rubbing against it when hiking. This jacket definitely exceeded my expectations and hers.
