I'm trying to purchase natural fabrics as much as possible, so I love that Duluth is adding plant fibers to their clothing line. I purchased the tan color, which actually has a hint of a green to it. The embroidery is so cute! The fabric could be better--I can best describe it as "noisy and crinkly" -- a little like a paper bag. I expected a soft brushed twill, like a typical pair of chino pants. I've washed mine several times and they really haven't softened up much. I also find that the straps are too short--I wear them fully extended and still wish for a little more length (I'm only 5'5" but perhaps a little long-waisted). The straps are all-cotton which is great because that means no synthetics and also because elastic eventually fails, but it also makes the adjustment wiggle room important. Duluth, please make more standard-fit overalls like these in cotton, hemp, or linen.

I absolutely adore the feel and style of these overalls, but they run smaller than the heirloom overalls. I ordered the same size I've gotten for years in the heirloom overalls but will have to send these back to get a size largers.
These are excellent overalls. I LOVE that the material is 100% cotton, which eliminates toxic synthetic fabrics. Since the material is natural, it breathes easily and does not trap offensive odors on your body. No, it does not stretch like synthetic materials, but it's a small price to pay for the overall comfort. The stitching is tight and it's well made. I use these for gardening, woodworking, and other outdoor activities. I docked a star because they should've added a cargo and zipper pocket. The straps also slide down frequently. As soon as they make some improvements to these overalls, I'll be repurchasing!
