I've been buying this style of jeans for years and the most recent update is awful. They got really big and the waist is crazy high and goes over my ribs. The "no gap waist" has 6 inches of gap in the front and several more in the back. I can literally roll these pants down to my hip bones with the zipper and button closed. It's like the designers measured at the hips and kept same measurement all the way up. As a result of the extra wide waist these pants sag so badly even with a belt and look horrible, not to mention the cuffs are always dragging on the ground. The material is lighter weight than it used to be and far more stretchy, which doesn't help the sag-factor at all. These used to be my favorite pants and now they are so disappointing.

In October 2023, I ordered a pair of Women's Daily Denim Slim Leg Jeans and they fit perfectly. A couple of weeks ago I ordered the exact same pair, in the exact same size, and they are too big and quite high waisted. The waist band nearly touches my ribs! Measuring them against each other the new jeans are ⅛" to ¼" bigger all the way around, and the zipper is a full 2" longer. I definitely would not call these mid-rise. I would only recommend these to a friend if they like high-waist jeans. Otherwise, I would not recommend. I would also say that I can't rely on Duluth fit from season to season, year to year. I wonder, do guys have this problem?
I've only had a chance to wear these once since purchase, but they definitely run smaller than my other Duluth pants of the same size (Noga, Flexpedition, Fire Hose) - particularly in the hips and thighs. However, despite being "slim leg," the calves run bigger, at more of a regular leg. They do make a nice silhouette and while they aren't as comfortable as my other Duluth pants, I did have enough mobility to do an escape room with friends that involved crawling and a lot of moving. The waistband also digs in while sitting to type. I don't know that they have enough give for riding, though. Perhaps they will loosen up with more wear.
I bought these after having such fantastic results with the Dry on the Fly line (shorts, pants, and capris) and the Fire Hose cargo pants. I needed jeans. I'm 5'8" and carry my weight in my butt and thighs. I prefer a mid-rise jean. These were mid-rise, and the front was great, but although they made my butt look great, they felt like they were about to slide down the back at any moment, and I would not have wanted to risk bending down in public with these on. They fit my seat and upper thighs really well, but were intolerably, sausage-y tight on my lower thighs and knees. The calves were a little snug and the ankles were very loose, which was great by me, but not what most people expect from a "slim leg" jean. Overall, these would have been great with a slightly altered cut. I like a trimmer fitting option for jeans, but these were inconsistent and missed the mark.
I am disappointed in these jeans because they are saggy, and not the slim leg that was advertised. The fit is just not right. Too much room in the hip/thigh/rear area, and being a plus size I really don't like the low cut waist. On the bright side, the material and workmanship of the jeans is what you expect from Duluth, high quality.
